Schraube Kurbelwelle löst sich - Motorschaden /Problem bekannt?

    Servus zusammen,

    bin heute mal zum Autohändler gegangen (Kamux) ist bei uns hier in Finnland ein großer Autohändler u.a. auch mit Sitz in Deutschland. Naja wollte mal hören was die noch so für mein Auto zahlen, rein Interessehalber und ohne Verkaufs-Absicht.


    Als ich Ihm dann mein Kennzeichen nannte um die Daten aufzurufen, bin ich fast vom Stuhl gefallen.

    Er meinte man könne mein Fahrzeug nicht ankaufen, da das interne System dort ausdrücklich den Tausch oder Ankauf untersagt.

    Beschreibung


    Die Kurbelwellenschraube des Verbrennungsmotors löst sich von selbst und die Motorsteuerung wird verstellt. Dies führt oft zur Totalzerstörung. Dasselbe Problem tritt bei neuen und generalüberholten Motoren auf.


    Ist mir bis jetzt relativ neu, dass die Motoren derartige Probleme machen würden. Jemand betroffen davon oder davon gehört? :/

    Was bekannt ist, von den MY20 hat es einige zerlegt. Da war immer die Rede von abgerissenen Schrauben am Drehmomentwandler. Es existiert dazu aber m. W. keine offizielle Aussage von Jeep.


    In wie weit da Kamux die Vorkommnisse da anderweitig bewertet, kann ich natürlich nicht sagen. Über die Gerüchteküche werden ja sehr oft Sachverhalte verdreht, das kennt man ja.

    das denke ich halt auch, gerade vor dem Hintergrund dass hier ja nur ein Bruchteil an Fahrzeugen rumfährt im Gegensatz zu Deutschland - da wäre ja hier in Finnland sonst jedes zweite Auto defekt nach dieser Behauptung.


    Ich kann mir aber schon vorstellen, dass die Faceliftmodelle eine leichte Überarbeitung der Motoren bekommen haben was die Qualität betrifft. Kurbelwelle Kolben beispielsweise könnten von der Material Güte etwas angepasst worden sein.

    Aber das ist nur meine Vermutung.

    Hello, new member here from Finland, sorry for writing in English, my German is not strong enough.


    About the pulleys getting loose, i know there are atleast 5 confirmed cases here on Renegade/Compass hybrids.


    I own 3 cars, friend has 1 and i have seen few in auctions also. All these were out of warranty so cars are being sold in auctions.


    Last saturday went to pick up my latest purchase 2020 Compass with 52000 km i met mechanic while loading the car, discussed with him and mentioned about the 5 cases i have seen, he laughed and said there is atleast 50 cases...

    OMG, that sounds not good. When I returned my Compass with the damage, the dealership didn’t want to tell me what was really wrong. Two years later, my Compass now showed up at a used car dealer 400km away. I have no idea, what they did with the car.

    I repaired one Renegade 72000km with used head from Ukraine, 4 new pistons and head gasket from ebay. Gave the car to my mom and she has been using it a while now.


    For the second Renegade 55000km i bought used engine from ebay, seller said it has running problem but i took the risk, well it was bad decision as i installed it and started and it failed right away, one piston was in oil pan and valves broken. Now waiting for more spares for this one.


    The third one, a Compass 52000km i have not even started the repairs yet.


    Anyone who has one of these, at least 2020 models, i would strongly suggest to inspect the Crankshaft damper bolt tightness or to have it inspected.


    There is no key in the crank pulley or crank chain sprocket so when the alternator (that is used also for primary starting the engine) turns the engine, the bolt may loosen and cause catastrophic failure (bolt has reverse thread).
